Movement skills that help your child feel strong in their body.

Our physio sessions focus on improving physical function so kids can move more freely, confidently, and safely.

Gross motor development

Physiotherapy for kids living with a disability builds the movement skills children use every day. We support running, climbing, jumping, walking and balancing so children can play and move confidently and safely through their world.

Coordination and motor planning

For those living with a disability, physiotherapy can improve coordination and motor planning. We help children develop smoother, more controlled movements so they can join in play, sport and everyday activities with confidence.

Delayed physical milestones

Physiotherapy supports children who are slower to reach physical milestones. We work on skills like crawling, sitting, standing and walking to support physical development and independence.

Strength, stability and endurance

Physiotherapy builds strength, core stability and endurance. These skills support posture, movement and stamina for school, play and physical activity.

Balance and postural control

Physiotherapy strengthens balance and postural control. We support steady movement during sitting, standing, walking and transitions so children feel secure and confident as they move.

If your child is finding movement more challenging than expected…

We’re here to help them feel stronger, steadier, and more confident — one step at a time.

Physio can support children who:

  • Trip often or struggle with balance
  • Have low muscle tone or fatigue easily
  • Walk on their toes or have unusual movement patterns
  • Have difficulty jumping, running, climbing, or keeping up with peers
  • Have tight muscles or limited joint movement
  • Are recovering from injury or have a physical condition
  • Need support with early motor milestones (crawling, sitting, walking)

Active, playful, movement-led therapy.

We focus on real skills that create real change — one step, one session, one better day at a time.

1

We make movement fun and motivating

Physiotherapy sessions feel active and engaging. Children build strength and skills faster when they are motivated, so therapy focuses on movement, play and purposeful activity.

2

We build skills for real life movement

Therapy targets functional movement children use every day, from playground play to classroom participation. Physiotherapy supports confidence, safety and independence in everyday environments.

3

We support families with practical strategies

We coach families with simple, effective strategies that fit into daily routines. Support continues beyond the session so progress keeps building at home and in the community.

4

Physiotherapy is a service provided by qualified physiotherapists to support people with disabilities who are covered by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). This service aims to improve and maintain physical abilities, reduce pain, and enhance overall wellbeing.

Physiotherapy involves a range of treatments and exercises that are tailored to each individual’s needs. These may include strength and conditioning exercises, mobility training, pain management techniques, and more.

Receiving NDIS physiotherapy can help improve quality of life, independence, and participation in daily activities. Physiotherapists can also work with other healthcare professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible care for NDIS participants.

If you have any questions or would like to learn more about physiotherapy, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Physiotherapy can benefit individuals of all ages with various health conditions, including problems related to the heart, lungs, brain, bones, joints, and muscles.

To be eligible for the NDIS, you must be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa, be under the age of 65, and have a permanent disability or a condition that affects your ability to carry out everyday tasks. The disability or medical condition must be likely to be permanent and require support from the NDIS over time.

Additionally, you must live in an area where the NDIS has been rolled out or be in a location where the scheme is going to be introduced soon. To determine your eligibility, you need to undergo an assessment by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) who will evaluate your support needs and determine if you meet the eligibility criteria.

If you are deemed eligible, an NDIS plan will be created that outlines the types of support and funding you can access to help you achieve your goals and improve your quality of life.

In most cases, you do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist. However, some insurance providers may require a GP’s referral. Please check with your insurance company for specific details.

During your first visit, the physiotherapist will conduct a thorough assessment of your condition, discuss your goals, and create a personalised treatment plan.
